On the evening of December 4, the Cultural and Tourism Week of Điện Biên - Tây Bắc in Ho Chi Minh City 2023 officially opened at Nguyễn Huệ pedestrian street (District 1). The program attracted a large number of residents and tourists, both domestic and international, to visit and experience the cultural space of the Tây Bắc region.
The event lasts from December 4 to December 7 with a wide range of rich and diverse content aimed at introducing, preserving, and promoting the various forms of cultural heritage of Điện Biên province; linking cultural preservation with promoting tourism potential and the socio-economic development of the province during the period of renewal, integration, and development.
This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the National Tourism Year program - Điện Biên 2024 and other important events contributing to the successful construction and promotion of the tourism brand of Điện Biên province. At the same time, it contributes to enhancing the exchange, linkage, and investment promotion between Điện Biên province and Ho Chi Minh City.

The main activities in the Cultural and Tourism Week of Điện Biên - Tây Bắc in Ho Chi Minh City include planting the Ban flower (expected to plant 120 Ban flower trees at Ho Chi Minh City History and Culture Park); a street cultural parade themed "Colors of Điện Biên converge"; an exhibition of 150 photos themed "From the Victory of Điện Biên Phủ in 1954 to the Great Spring Victory in 1975"; showcasing and introducing tourism and cultural products…
Among them, the parade program introduces the colorful traditional culture of the ethnic groups in Điện Biên province, including traditional costume performances; folk games such as tossing ball, "tù lu", khèn dance, and xoè dance…

The Cultural and Tourism Week of Điện Biên - Tây Bắc in Ho Chi Minh City 2023 is a cultural event marking the beginning of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory of Điện Biên Phủ (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the 115th anniversary of the founding of Điện Biên province (June 28, 1909 - June 28, 2024), and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee (October 10, 1949 - October 10, 2024).
