Overview of the bar fire on Phó Đức Chính street: Dozens of firefighters worked hard to extinguish the flames for hours.

At 7 PM on August 16, a large fire broke out on Phó Đức Chính street. After several hours, the fire was brought under control and did not cause any casualties.

According to initial information, around 7 PM that day, residents on Phó Đức Chính street noticed the fire coming from a bar. After a few minutes, the flames quickly ignited flammable items, making it visible from outside as the windows and escape routes on the rooftop of the building glowed red with fire.
At the same time, the smell of burning and smoke from the fire rose high and spread around, affecting the entire area. Many people reported that due to the incident happening during rush hour, traffic was congested.

Upon receiving the report, firefighting forces and many fire trucks arrived at the scene. Currently, there is still no information about casualties or property damage.

The flames continued to blaze from the building for many hours, affecting surrounding residential areas and causing localized power outages.

From afar, residents could also see columns of smoke rising high for dozens of meters.

In a conversation with us, the duty officer of Trúc Bạch Ward Police stated that the unit received information about the fire, and currently, the authorities are coordinating to resolve and investigate the cause.

In a conversation with us, a staff member from a milk tea shop, X., said: "Around 6:30 PM, I was working when I suddenly heard people shouting fire. A moment later, the authorities arrived to extinguish the fire.

At first, the fire was basically controlled. But after the authorities broke a wall to enter inside, the flames reignited fiercely."

X. added that around 8:00 PM, authorities took a firefighter on a stretcher out of the scene. Currently, the authorities are still trying to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.

Meanwhile, Ms. T., a resident living near the fire site, shared, "Around 7 PM, I was sitting down for dinner when I unexpectedly heard the loud sirens of fire trucks. When I ran outside, the street was filled with smoke. After that, my house lost power. That’s when I realized the bar was on fire.

I was very scared; I was worried the fire would spread to my house. My family and I quickly ran outside. At first, I saw the firefighters were basically controlling the fire outside. Around 8:00 PM, the flames broke out again. A moment later, I saw one officer being taken to the ambulance on a stretcher, and another officer limping, probably injured during firefighting."

Ms. T. further noted that the bar was under renovation at the time the fire broke out, so there was no one inside.
