The concert night of Taylor Swift in Buenos Aires, Argentina has been delayed due to bad weather, which prompted the largest airline in South America, LATAM Airlines, to waive change fees for passengers wishing to extend their stay in the city.
On Saturday, the airline announced that it would not charge change fees for passengers who wanted to stay in Buenos Aires a little longer, after Taylor Swift postponed the scheduled performances from Friday night to Sunday due to bad weather. Although the airline's tweet did not specifically mention that the postponement was the reason for the policy change, it stated that they would waive the usual change fees for those who had planned to leave the Argentine capital before the new concert date on Sunday.

Taylor Swift performed in Buenos Aires on November 9. Her performance on November 10 was postponed due to bad weather to Sunday, November 12, and in response, LATAM Airlines allowed its customers to change flights from the Argentine capital without having to pay the usual change fees.
The airline's tweet posted on Saturday announced: "We know your plans have changed, which is why starting today we have updated our flexible policy so that those with flights scheduled from Buenos Aires on November 11 and 12 will be able to change without penalty or fare difference to fly until next Friday 11/17, subject to seat availability." Taylor Swift herself also tweeted about the schedule change on Friday, mentioning safety concerns due to an impending storm.
"I personally love performing in the rain, but I would never put my fans or team members in harm's way. We have moved the Buenos Aires concert from tonight to Sunday due to truly chaotic weather, making it unsafe to hold the concert. The good news is I will get to be in Argentina a little longer!!"
For American airlines, United stated that they will not charge change fees for international flights departing from the U.S., including round-trip tickets. Delta, LATAM's partner, said they are using "situational flexibility to assist customers' adjustments."
