Developing Unique Tourism Tours​

Recently, many tourists have visited the sea embankment in Phu Truong hamlet, Nghia An commune, and the beach in Khe Tan hamlet, Tinh Khe commune (Quang Ngai City). At this time, the embankment is painted green with moss. Tourists come here early in the morning to "hunt" for sunrise or in the afternoon to watch the sunset and check-in at beautiful landscapes.

Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Vo Van Chinh - Chairman of the Tinh Khe Commune People's Committee said that the area around the Khe Tan sea embankment attracts many tourists for sightseeing and taking souvenir photos. Thanks to this, local residents are able to increase their income through food service businesses.
The commune has deployed police and militia forces to regularly patrol and remind tourists to protect the environment and pay attention to safety.
In the long term, the Mỹ Khê Community Agricultural Cooperative will exploit a chain of experiential tourism products of the locality, including: Thiên Mã cultural and spiritual area, mangrove forest base, National Historic Site of the national hero Trương Định, Sơn Mỹ Historical Vestige, Mỹ Khê beach, and Khe Tan embankment. At the same time, diversifying experiential services, entertainment, and cuisine at tourist sites.
In April and May 2024, Quang Ngai will host many impressive events to attract tourists. Highlights include the 2024 Tourism Week with diverse cultural, sports, and tourism activities such as: Women's beach volleyball tournament; a fair for OCOP products and rural community tourism space; an exhibition of marine and island cultural heritage; the Khao Le ceremony for Hoang Sa soldiers and the traditional Tứ Lĩnh boat race in Ly Son...
Furthermore, a Famtrip and Presstrip delegation will survey tourism products; a conference on “Developing rural tourism and community tourism in Quang Ngai province - Opportunities and prospects”...
In addition, in 2024, the province will organize an international sailing regatta and stand-up paddleboard event at Mỹ Khê beach (Quang Ngai City); an international paragliding championship, and the "Fly to Ly Son" hot air balloon festival...

Encouraging Local Tourism​

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the province stated that to promote and introduce tourism in Quang Ngai and stimulate local tourism development, the Department has sent a document to various departments, branches, and localities to encourage officials, civil servants, employees, and workers to choose to experience local tourism tours.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism encourages agencies, units, and residents to choose to experience local tourism tours associated with historical and cultural relics, traditional craft villages, community tourism sites, rural tourism, ecological tourism, and island tourism.
Specifically, the tourism tours organized by licensed travel businesses in the province include visits to Sơn Mỹ Historical Vestige, Mỹ Khê beach, Tinh Khe mangrove forest, Nghia Ha flower field, Minh Duc pagoda, Quang Ngai City; Gò Cỏ village, Sa Huỳnh salt field, Duc Pho town; Bình Thành village, Suối Chí Tourism Area, Nghia Hanh district; Yến Cliff, Bàu Cá Cái, Binh Son district; Ly Son island district.
According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the total number of visitors in March 2024 to the tourism sites in the province is estimated at 298,000, an increase of 35% compared to the same period last year. Of these, international visitors are estimated at 7,800, an increase of 3.8 times compared to the same period last year. Accommodation facilities served 89,000 visitors, including 4,200 international guests. Revenue reached 198 billion VND, an increase of 28% compared to the same period last year.
In particular, along with promoting and encouraging local tourism programs, Quang Ngai has attracted a significant number of tourists from various agencies, units, and schools.
