Opened since September, the pedestrian street in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi is in a deserted state.

Thanh Xuan pedestrian street, also known as Carnaby 214, is part of the Rue de Charme project - the new urban area of Ha Dinh (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi). Inspired by the famous Carnaby pedestrian street in London (UK), this area features a modern, European style with a length of 200 meters.
According to Lao Dong on the weekend, the number of visitors on this street is not large, with only a few small groups scattered around.

There are more than 20 food trucks at the street to serve visitors. These food trucks offer a variety of options from ice cream, tea, grilled skewers, and more...
However, in reality, only a few food trucks are still operating, and customers visit sporadically. Some trucks even have no vendors. Additionally, several shops and sections are still under repair or construction, not yet operational.

In addition to the food trucks, the area is equipped with various entertainment and artistic activities such as magic shows, caricatures, or statue painting. However, during the weekends, no magic shows or caricature performances occur at this pedestrian street. In front of the entrance, the statue painting and children's play area also lack customers.
Many young people come here primarily to check-in and take photos on the European-style architectural street. Tran Yen Nhi (22 years old, Dong Da) shared that she often comes to this pedestrian street for photography.
“Every time I need to take creative photos with an international style, I usually come here. Otherwise, I do not choose this place for a stroll as the activities are not very unique,” she shared, also appreciating the clean environment.

Mr. Le Minh Quang (20 years old, Tay Ho) mentioned that this is his first experience at a pedestrian street, but he hasn’t seen many lively activities.
"I find the pedestrian street a bit small, without many entertainment spots, and many sections are not yet completed, so it doesn’t attract many people," Mr. Quang said.
Additionally, Mr. Quang noted that this pedestrian street is far from the city center, so there aren’t as many visitors as at the Ho Guom pedestrian street. He hopes that in the future, there will be more activities and festivals in this area for the community to experience.
According to a vendor at this pedestrian street, the current number of customers has decreased significantly compared to the opening period.
