THE SCARS OF THE EARTH
The Rift Valley is located in Pinglu, a mountainous region in north-central China, covering approximately 400,000 square kilometers. It was formed by movements within the Earth's crust and is about 10 kilometers long.

About 10 million years ago, this suffocating valley began to form due to the tectonic forces at play. The European plateau and the northern block of China began to split apart, and along the boundaries of these tectonic plates, the Pinglu Rift Valley has now found its home.
