With the concerted efforts of the entire industry in recent times to implement product development activities, improve service quality, and promote tourism... the total number of international visitors to Vietnam has far exceeded the target set at the beginning of the year, according to the assessment of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
Based on the actual situation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently adjusted the target for international visitors in 2023 from 8 million to about 12 - 13 million visits, aiming to create new momentum to accelerate recovery and promote effective and sustainable tourism development.
At the summary meeting of the third quarter of 2023 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Phạm Văn Thủy affirmed the goal of receiving 12-13 million visitors is entirely feasible, laying the foundation for striving in the following years.
He mentioned the advantages of the tourism industry such as open visa policies, along with other policies in bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.
