Train journeys always provide unique experiences for travelers. There are even luxurious trains that can rival an airplane. In Vietnam, recently, such a train has officially been put into trial operation, serving travelers from August 9.

Onboard, in addition to passenger cabins, there are also shared utility areas and modern equipment to provide the most comfortable experience for travelers. That is the train from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang, train SNT6 and train SNT3.

"The interior and amenities of this train are equipped to airplane standards" - that's what the investment unit for the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang train shared. The two trains SNT6 and SNT3 are completely newly assembled, including 13 carriages. Additionally, there are many domestically produced devices onboard.
Specifically, 13 carriages are clearly divided into types according to their purposes, thus serving diverse needs of travelers. They include 6 sleeping cars, each cabin with 4 beds; 5 soft seat carriages; 1 dining/restaurant car and 1 electric supply utility car.

In fact, these features are not enough to claim that the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang train possesses "airplane standards" or is a luxury train. The investment unit and manufacturers are confident because, moreover, the train is equipped with technological devices and amenities to provide maximum comfort for travelers during the many hours of the journey.
First, it can be mentioned that the entire train is covered by wireless Internet (Wifi) network. Travelers can easily connect and use their personal electronic devices for entertainment, work, or study needs. Unlike Wifi on airplanes, it is not only for watching movies or listening to music stored in memory; travelers can access anything they want.
Secondly, the air conditioning system in the train carriages, in addition to being fully equipped, according to the investment unit, this system can automatically adjust the temperature according to the needs of each sleeper cabin. This differs significantly from other train trips, sleeper carriages, or even airplanes, where the air conditioning temperature is set universally for the entire train.
In addition, there is a separate TV screen at each sleeping bed. In the soft seating area, there will also be TVs equipped in the aisles for travelers to enjoy.

The third special feature of this brand new luxury train is the soft cushioned seats. These are seats that can rotate 180 degrees. Passengers can adjust their seating position as they wish. This is considered very sophisticated and convenient, especially for those who suffer from motion sickness.
The backs of the seats are also integrated with a small foldable table and a net pocket for holding books and newspapers. There are also USB power outlets right under the seats, creating convenience for all travelers.

Lastly, another feature that concerns many travelers on this train is the toilet - which is also designed very modern. In the washing area, there is a touch-sensitive faucet, functioning just like devices on airplanes. That is, based on a vacuum principle, it not only saves water but also maintains cleanliness.
It can be seen that with the above features, the recently operated train from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang is indeed deserving of the title "airplane-standard train." The investment unit said the train will run trials serving travelers for 2 months, starting from the night of August 9.
Currently, tickets for the train have been widely sold through the official website of the Vietnam Railways Group or through retail agency units. The ticket price for one way ranges from 600,000 to over 900,000 VND, depending on the class of seat and bed that travelers choose.

In fact, the recently launched train from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang is not the first "luxury" train in Vietnam. The pioneer name for the 5-star train experience in Vietnam is The Vietage, the train from Da Nang to Quy Nhon, which officially started operating in July 2020.
Notable features that make The Vietage train special include: Serving a maximum of 12 guests per trip, the train has 6 passenger cabins, each cabin contains only 2 private seats, the train also has a restaurant, bar, massage room, and offers luxurious meals featuring traditional Vietnamese flavors and selected teas, coffees, and soft drinks. Additionally, every detail on the train is meticulously designed and constructed.

In 2021, the prestigious American magazine CNN praised The Vietage in the list of "6 incredible train journeys in Asia." CNN referred to the train as a journey of nature, culture, and history. Travelers will be immersed in the peaceful scenery along the route, such as grassy plains, vast fields with grazing buffaloes, villages with small houses, or the clear water of Vietnam's coastline.
