Previously, from May 2022 until the end of 2022, the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information publicly announced websites exhibiting signs of legal violations three times, requiring advertisers, advertising distributors, and advertisers to understand and refrain from cooperating in distributing advertising products with these sites.
The total number of websites that violated the law announced by the Ministry of Information and Communications in 2022 was 171.
The development and announcement of the list, including the "verified" content list - "White List" and the "black" content list (Black List) of Vietnam, is one of the solutions by the Ministry of Information and Communications to strengthen the management of advertising activities on the Internet.
According to the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information, in addition to licensed electronic newspapers, electronic magazines, electronic information aggregators, and social networks, the "White List" will continue to be expanded to websites, accounts, and content channels that register information to encourage brands and companies to provide advertising services on these websites.
Along with this, the department will also publicly reveal brands, agencies, advertising distribution platforms, and electronic information sites that violate (including websites, social network accounts, content channels, community pages) and advise organizations and companies not to cooperate in advertising with these entities.
