According to the An Giang Trade Promotion and Investment Center, in recent years, the tourism sector of the province has been promoting cooperation among tourism businesses, government management agencies, and technology providers. In the general trend, the tourism sector is proactively undergoing digital transformation, accessing and participating in the fourth industrial revolution, leveraging the benefits of digital technology, and moving towards forming a smart tourism ecosystem that connects stakeholders from tourists, service providers, and government management agencies.
However, An Giang province still faces many challenges such as a lack of financial and technological human resources, especially for small and medium enterprises. Some tourism businesses in An Giang do not fully understand digital transformation and do not have specific digital transformation plans. This may cause tourism enterprises in An Giang to miss opportunities for development.
