The Ministry of Information and Communications has recently published the first list of “verified” online content (also known as the White List) for advertising activities.
These include newspapers, magazines, general electronic information pages, and social networks with complete information about licensing agencies, license numbers, licensed units, managing authorities, as well as website domain names.
Accordingly, as of the first quarter of 2023, there are 301 media agencies, including 226 central agencies and 75 local agencies.

With electronic information pages, the list includes 1,381 electronic information pages of agencies, units, localities, and companies that have been licensed by the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information, as well as local Departments of Information and Communications, stated on this "White List".
For social networks, the list contains 953 social networks that have been licensed for operation by the Ministry of Information and Communications up to the first quarter of 2023.

Previously, from May 2022 to the end of 2022, the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information published three times the websites showing signs of legal violations to inform advertisers, advertising agencies, and advertisers not to cooperate in advertising their products with these sites.
The total number of websites violating the law published by the Ministry of Information and Communications in 2022 was 171 pages.
Establishing and publishing a list of “verified” content - "White List" and "black" content (Black List) in Vietnam is one of the Ministry of Information and Communications’ solutions to enhance management over advertising activities on the Internet.
According to the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information, in addition to licensed electronic newspapers, electronic magazines, general electronic information pages, and social networks, the "White List" will continue to be expanded to include websites, accounts, and content channels that register for information to encourage brands and businesses to provide advertising services on these websites.
In addition, the department will also disclose brand names, agents, advertising platforms, and violating electronic information pages (including websites, social media accounts, content channels, and community pages) and recommend organizations and businesses not to cooperate with these entities for advertising.
